Anyways, I just wanted to quick let you know about the one I launched. There are just too many links floating around on the web. Each day millions of articles are written and it is hard to differentiate between good and bad by just looking at the title. My project that I launched is related to social media and search engine optimization. I felt there was a need for a service that would bring you the best in both social media and search, as they are both critical to success on the web.

While working with clients, I recommend starting a newsletter at the very beginning. It’s funny it took me so long to implement such an important and critical aspect of personal communication on my own blog. Anyways, if you look at the sidebar you’ll see a small box where you can enter your name and email address. You can fill that out to sign up to my newsletter. I’ll be using the newsletter to share case studies, interesting tips and a bit of insider information with my subscribers.

I am not an affiliate marketer so you’ll never see any affiliate links or anything of that sort. I have a few personal project in the pipeline and I will be using the newsletter once in a while to let you know about these projects. Well, it’s a little too late. The Social Media paltforms are abuzz by Kanye’s behavior and I hope some kind of action is taken against him. His ego is starting to get a little too big, I hope the saying “everything that goes up, must come down” is true in this case. Damn Kanye, you are a moron!

Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans. The disaster that hit New Orleans a few years ago is still fresh to many. I won’t lie, I had forgotten all about it until I came across a wonderful artist who is trying his hardest to contribute to rebuild the city. What have I done yet to contribute and show that I care? Not a damn thing. What have you done now that it’s almost four years? If your answer is nothing yet, shame on you and shame on me. It’s about freaking time we do something.

I’ll be honest. Although financially I stand on well soiled grounds, I am far from being rich to donate for causes. But hell, a dollar for a cause like helping rebuild the city of New Orleans is something I can afford. And I know you can too. Josh Charles, an amazing artist is giving away all proceeds to help rebuild New Orleans. One song, one dollar and the goal is to reach a million dollars and every single penny goes to help New Orleans. I am sure you watched Hurricane Katrina and the chaos, the destruction on TV and newspapers. I am sure you remember watching people standing on rooftop waiting to be rescued. I am sure you remember everything. It was news back then. Today although it’s not on news and media often there are people that are still suffering. If an artist can give away everything he earns through his art, we sure as hell can give a dollar and say “I care.”

I have donated a dollar to help rebuild New Orleans. Although a dollar, it contributes to a million. If you haven’t done anything yet or aren’t going to donate even a dollar for this cause, I can proudly say that I am free of guilt. You are alone. Shame on you.

Donate a dollar. Be a part. Spread the word. Tweet about it. Blog about it. Do whatever it takes but be a part in helping rebuild New Orleans.

Can we work together to help Josh help rebuild New Orleans?

It’s been a little over a month since Facebook launched vanity URLs making it easier for users to direct others to their account. Before the launch of Facebook vanity URL, a profile URL was a scramble of letters and numbers. Anyway, although Facebook hasn’t officially made it public it seems like you can choose your username once again. One of the reason could be because when Facebook launched vanity URL there was a mad rush among users to register what they wanted. Some played prank on their friends, some registered usernames that were actually brand names and so on and so forth.

If you were unable to grab the username you wanted the last time, you might be in luck. Facebook is allowing you to change your username one more time. The message says that the change will be permanent but then again that’s what they said last time. Go ahead and try your luck if you want to change your username. Follow the steps below to check and see if you can grab the new vanity URL for yourself,

1. Log on to facebook
2. Point your mouse to settings on top right. Click on Account settings.
3. Click on “change” next to username
4. Check to see if the username you want is available.
5. If the username you want is available click confirm.

Before you click confirm make sure that’s what you want as your vanity URL. This might really be the last time you can do so.
